Well, if you're from the Detroit area like I am, I'm sure you've heard about the Roosevelt Tidwell case. Detroit police sergeant Roosevelt Tidwell was accused of allegedly forcing several couples to perform sexual activities at a local Detroit park while he watched. He told most of them that they were under arrest and the only way he'd let them off the hook was if they performed these sexual activities.
The whole thing has caused quite a lot of talk in the news media because it's obviously wrong and cannot go without punishment (if Mr. Tidwell actually did what he was accused of). He's currently being held in a Wayne County jail, I think.
But that's not exactly my problem...my problem is that I go to school with Mr. Tidwell's son. In fact, I'm friends with him. A few people at school know about this case with his father, but HE hasn't mentioned it. Though, who would want to mention that their father had just commited a crime?
I know he must be feeling horrible about it, and I can't help feeling horrible about it as well. But I really don't know if I should say something to him, like to try and make him feel better, but I'm afraid it'll make him feel worse. Help?!
